Overview
The Ceram-Back® elbow is Progressive Products’ patented flagship wear-protection elbow, in production since 1979. A ½″ ceramic compound jacket — hardness second only to diamond — is bonded to the outside radius (the impact face) and wrapped with an exterior material to maintain hoop strength. When the metal core wears through, abrasion transfers to the ceramic outer jacket, which maintains positive or negative line pressure. The metal core also acts as a static conductor.
