Carbon steel elbow bends for pneumatic conveying. The workhorse wear part for general dilute-phase service. Uncoated carbon steel; pair with ceramic-backed wear protection where abrasive service demands it, or run uncoated where wear life isn’t the limiting factor.

When to choose carbon steel
- Material being conveyed is not corrosive (most dry bulk).
- Wear life is adequate for your application (lower velocity, less abrasive material).
- Cost matters and stainless or aluminum aren’t required.
For abrasive service (cement, fly ash, sand), consider ceramic-backed elbows instead.
